This weeks Festival is a Touch of Hollywood, with an Open Mic run like the ones our host, Sean McCarthy, experienced when he 1st moved to Hollywood in 1998. He became a Regular there by 1999 after breaking through at the Crazy Tuesday Night Open Mic Audition Nights. We at Tickle Your Bone Comedy are now trying to find some new talent to feature/make Regulars at the the World’s Only Weekly Comedy Festival. This is kind of a Big Deal because we now have a budget to pay comics and are looking for some New Funny People to become Paid Regulars. We usually only feature 7 comedians but this week we have 12 doing shorter sets to feature their best Stuff.
Tuesday March 1st The World’s Only Weekly Comedy Festival with Special Bruce Lee Comedy…”One Inch Punchlines”. We are “Punching Up” our Bits, with Comedy Writers from Hollywood.

The Tickle Your Bone Weeky Comedy Festival is always glowingly reviewed by CEO of Comedy Sean McCarthy after each show. I always look forward to this recap because I get to have a little mental encore. You know those feel-good chemicals that your brain makes when you remember Fun and Interesting schtuff? Those come out, and it makes for a yummy headspace to reflect on everyone’s set. How marvelous is it to experience how someone’s material evolves? Or how their delivery adapts? Or to see someone new and amazeballs for the first time ever? This is the schtuff that makes me clack my Barbies together.
There’s a spirit of allowance at TYB. It’s not born of rah-rah-ing, but born of understanding the artistic process and the nature of performance. Comics get stronger in this room because of it. A place where experimentation is recognized and encouraged is rare, so from a comic’s perspective, I am thankful for that latitude. (Though I strive not to be the guy always “trying something.” I’m not gonna put a goldfish in a blender or anything.*) And from an audience perspective, the growth of other performers fascinates and captivates me. Permission to be clever, dirty, silly, dark, and different has been granted to these people. Where does that freedom lead?
